Not sure what part of the machine component you are referring to but generally the colours mean the following using 240 volts:

Red=Active
Black=Neutral
Green or Green/Yellow=Earth (ground)
White=Switched Active (Become active via a switching component).

I think you should clarify what your attempting to wire up before proceeding.

Based likewise on your Premium Problem/Post here, I tried looking for a service manual but only found a possible source of the wiring diagram, have you tried here. Unfortunately, you need to be a paid member to access the files to my understanding.

old...is it getting warm at all? First thing to reset the circuit breakers. Find the linked breakers, turn them off and then back on. If this doesn't fix it, you may have either a bad thermostat or a bad heating element. The back of the dryer usually has a diagram of the wiring. With the unit powered down, follow the diagram with a multi tester.
