Model Number I think the model number is just a Samson G-Track. Is there anywhere I can find more detailed info on this?

Very hard to track serial numbers on these guitars
they made and sold millions since the 80's
they are worth $100-$300 and more depending on condition and exact model

Try using a computer with a dedicated sound card, not an onboard sound chip. A condenser mike can't provide very much power on its own, and requires power from the attached receiver/amplifier.

well most only have one sticker-- to tell you everything you need. look on Google images to find one that looks the exact. Best luck

It works fine in Windows 7 except that there's a bug in Windows 7 that adds lots of noise to the mic. It's easy to work around, though: Go into Recording devices, Properties button, Levels tab, right click on the level number so that it shows in decibels, and then adjust the level to 0 dB. It's supposed to be at 0 dB but Windows 7 defaults it to 30 dB for no reason. This isn't a problem on Windows XP.

There's a date code on the label with the model number. If you enter all the other info from that label, I think I can track down the year/month that it was made.

If you are running vista or xp here is what you do. If you can't find the model number anywhere on the computer. You go to Start, Programs, Accessories, System tools and then System Information. It should be the 7th or so line down and that will show your model number. If you have anymore questions let me know.
