My Afficio Printer has a problem in which it says The URL is not set correctly. The URL is not set correctly. Please contact to your Network Administrator. I am Able to ping it through my network and receive a reply but that's as far as it goes there is no printing involved when i print a test page it does not receive it otherwise the printer works perfectly fine How can you help me with this problem?

As an update:

I actually had a Ricoh tech come out to my house. It was a warranty service - I was very impressed! He did some fiddling around, said that there was no problem that he could detect but... after he left the Macs can print to the printer no problem. From what I can recall, all of the settings were identical to what they were in the first place on the Mac side.

I still can't get my linux machine to print there but it is a low priority and I am really not trying very hard.

I wish I had more enlightening input.

To select a specific document to print in color, open the document, Photo, etc, to print, select "print", then select "printing preferences" in the dialog box, select "color". This will print that specific document in color, but the setting will default back to B&W
Now, just FYI,
You absolutely need to set the default color, in your printing preferences - usually to Black and white -to save extra costs. The default setting is ALWAYS color when the driver is installed.. so even if you are printing a word document, the printer will "make" black out of the other colors, thus costing a lot of extra $$. Your settting has apparently been changed appropriately.
This is how it's set the default color should you ever want to change it, "right click" your printer icon in "Printers and faxes" select properties, select "printing preferences", and you will see, in the bottom left corner, the color selector, select "B&W", then select "apply", and close your dialog box. EVERYTHING will now print in B&W, unless you select otherwise, or vice versa if you swith it to color.
