I've reinstalled the software several times (I don't know how to manually online). I've emailed them several times...they don't reply (I think because they want me to buy their upgrade). I don't have their phone number.
Thanks anyway

maybe someone else has already registered those devices before ? not sure but this could be one of the things. hope this helps. or you can create an account creating another email if you have another one.
You have the order backwards. Top order is categories such as FOOD or LIQUOR. Then comes Departments such as APPETIZERS, ENTREES, DESSERT. Then items like RIBEYE STEAK, BAKED POTATO, SALAD. And categories are entirely optional. They only come into play if needed to group departments on certain reports. They don't display, just departments and items. The easiest solution is a cheap $5 card reader available online or from a local walmart. If you don't want to do that, you can check the olympus website's download section to see if they've issued new software or driver's for your model and Window's 7.
God bless your soul, tinkering with Apple's odd procedures has been the most annoying thing i ever have to deal with :)
So you can try plugging it in to acomputer/laptop with itunes
Next, hold the iPod's home button and power button at the same time until the logo below pops up
The iPod would be in restore mode. iTunes shouldn't be trying to sync or anything and it should probably allow you to restore without any more errors.
If this doesn't work....
you could try a program like "iPod Transfer" http://www.ipod-transfer.org/ipod-to-pc.html I've never used a program like this but it's supposed to be able to recover, restore and backup files on the iPod. Again i really don't know much about this program or if it even works.
I spent a good time just now trying to figure out a reasonable way, and there aren't many ways, so if this doesn't work, just let me know and maybe you can call apple or i can look for something else to help.

Hi, I understand your frustration, the manual supplied is next to useless! The 'obvious' settings appear NOT to work (as the grill remains on full heat setting all the time). The only way we've managed is to lower the food away from the grill..... not ideal I know - but also we don't use it for toast.
I suppose Hoover would be the next best port of call for assistance, oh for a proper manual, not a horrible generic one that attmpts to cover every model they produce - AND FAILS.
This is purchasers main complaint about buying Hoover ovens it seems.
I'll come back to see if anyone can supply a solution to our problem.... and hope it's not a fault in manufacture.
