Head tested as OK. Pack LED's work and some of heads indicator lights also come on, but will not fire at all, either with the test button or from PC.
I can't remember if the flash should make a noise when it recycles, but it doesn't. Pack bought secondhand untested. I know very little about electronics, however I did wonder if the capacitor was dead. When I opened up the case there was no obvious signs of degradation to the cap. or anywhere else that was obvious to me. Any ideas anyone.

If you are concerned about the cost or whether the diagnosis is correct, take it to another technician for a second opinion. However, if it is a circuit board, you will need to make a decision whether to repair or replace it.
PRE-DIAGNOSTIC INSPECTIONBefore diagnosing ABS/TCS, perform a comprehensive visual inspection of system as follows.Check ABS/TCS wiring harness connectors for looseness. Check harness routing; pay particular attention to wheel speed sensor wiring harness routing. Check fuses No. 1D, 5B and 6B in instrument panel fuse block. Check fuses No. 1 and 2 in underhood fuse block. Check brake fluid level in master cylinder reservoir. Check brake fluid level in Pressure Modulator Valve (PMV) assembly reservoir. Ensure parking brake is fully released. Ensure parking brake switch is functioning properly. Always perform ABS/TCS system functional check before using DIAGNOSTIC CODE CHARTSThe EBCM/EBTCM has self-diagnostic capability, which can detect system failures. Fault codes stored by EBCM/EBTCM can be displayed using Tech 1 scan tester. There are no provisions for flash code diagnostics.Begin ABS/TCS diagnosis with PRE-DIAGNOSTIC INSPECTION procedure. If failures are found during pre-diagnostic inspection, perform necessary repairs, and proceed with ABS/TCS FUNCTIONAL CHECK. See Fig. 5 .If no failures are found during pre-diagnostic inspection, go to ABS/TCS FUNCTIONAL CHECK. See Fig. 5 . The ABS/TCS FUNCTIONAL CHECK will either indicate ABS/TCS is functioning properly or direct technician to various diagnostic procedures such as diagnostic charts, symptom diagnosis or BRAKE warning light diagnosis.CHART D - TRACTION OFF WARNING LIGHT ON CONTINUOUSLY & NO DTC SET (BUICK WITH UH8 OR U2A INSTRUMENT CLUSTER)Circuit DescriptionWhen ignition switch is first turned to RUN position, EBTCM goes through a self-test, which lasts 2-4 seconds. During self-test, EBTCM commands TRACTION OFF indicator warning light on. Powertrain Control Module (PCM) can also command EBTCM to set a Code 75 which will illuminate TRACTION OFF indicator.Traction control switch is located either on instrument panel center trim plate or driver's front door trim panel. Switch allows driver to select traction control mode (on/off). When traction control system is turned off, TRACTION OFF warning light comes on.EBTCM monitors transaxle temperature through
Most shops do not charge for a road-test and diagnosis, so I would suggest you go there first. Your description of the problem is not very clear, but after a road-test a technician should be able to give you an opinion.
First reset your washer by unplugging it, or flipping the household circuit breaker for about ten minutes. Then, turn your appliance back on. If the functions continue to changed constantly, your washer may possibly be experiencing a potential wiring failure, faulty timer, or a communication problem with the control board. In this regard, I would suggest contacting an Authorized Service Technician that will be able to assist you in the exact diagnosis of your washer.
If you do not know a professional technician, manufacturer websites often have service provider locators' onsite to assist you in that regard. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reconnect!
find reason for rich condition. any shop can do that. this takes tools and know how. DIY? is engine running rough, and spark plugs, black? that is rich misfire. find and ASE certified technician at a shop to do this basic diagnosis.
When a 'check engine light' (MIL=Malfunction Indicator Lamp) is turned on, there is a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) set/stored in the ECM/PCM (Engine Control Module/Powertrain Control Module). This code identifies which engine management system component/function experienced a malfunction. Once you pull/read this code, you may begin diagnosis.
Since the 'Check Engine' light flashed, and there were no codes stored (at least this is what the technician told you), there is definitely something happening with the engine computer. There is ALWAYS a code stored when the Check Engine light comes on - even if it's a 'History' code (unless there's a problem with the computer).

Hi Canday,
As the connections are OK, it is possible that a lead inside one of the wires is broken. You don't say if it powers up or not, so it is very difficult to give more specific advice or diagnosis. It is a professional unit, so I suggest you take it into a top camera shop for their advice.
Good luch,
John Hannah
