We have a Golden Technologies Buzz Around Scooter GB101 and cannot get it to go forward or backward we are getting 7 flashes on the green light which is the speed paddle potenteometer problem. We replace the S-Drive Controller and it still does not work. Can anyone help as to what might be the problem.

More than likely its the speed pod or engager (paddle assy. This would need to be replaced.

SOURCE: Golden Companion Scooter not moving - diagnosed via owner manual

Hi. Many scooters will display this fault code if the potentiometer is not exactlly centred when you turn on the key. The pot is not always faulty. Some scooters also have a smaller additional pot to controll the speed. If this pot is faulty it will cause the same fault code. Any other switches such as indoor/ outdoor switches. I have had a few machines fitted with curtis controllers where the fault is in the controller.
Check the wiring and plugs and connectors.
Good luck. Neil.

Golden companion II full charge turn key on press lever to go forward it dont move hear clicking sound green light on dash blinks

John count the number of flashes by the green light and it will be the fault code indicating the problem Your owners manual should list the fault codes to be able to determine what the problem is. Ie 4 blinks pause 4 blinks pause. The clicking you hear is the electric brakes being engaged. Hope this helps

Golden buzzaround scooter - new around 2003? 3-wheel - need to know how to hook up the batteries - not sure we have them hooked up correctly.

If you go this link it will show you the connections for the battery pack wiring. Essentially there is a jumper between one of the positive terminals on one battery and one of the negative terminals of the other battery to give you 24 to 27 volts in series. The two remaining terminals are for the positive and negative output voltage and the charger connections (run in parallel). Please see the following:

Where can I find replacement armrests and back seat cushion for a Golden Tech Buzz Around? How much should we expect to pay? I was quoted $52 for the small speed knob!

Go to monterscooterparts.com to get your armpads, and the price may very depends on what style came on the scooter and what works on your scooter.

Good luck I hope I was able to help

We broke the control lever that allows the scooter to go frontward and backward. What is the part and how can we get it.

The Golden Buzzaround Lite Scooter (I am not sure of the RTO prefix) is manufactured by
Golden technologies. If you broke the control lever (paddle) for the throttle potentiometer, there is probably also damage to the potentiometer. I recommend you replace the paddle and potentiometer. See page 16 at the following link:
http://www.goldentech.com/pdf/support/ride/gb101-service-manual.pdf

This is a simple repair that should take under 1 hour. It's a little tricky to center the paddle by loosening and tightening the allen set screws.

Please purchase OEM parts for this scooter to get the correct parts and fit. Please consult the manufacturer:

Golden Technologies • 401 Bridge Street, Old Forge PA 18518 • Tel: (800) 624-6374 • Fax: (800) 628-5165 • www.goldentech.com

They may require you to purchase from an authorized local dealer.

A partial parts list is available at this link:

http://www.goldentech.com/pdf/support/ride/BuzzaroundParts.pdf

You can save considerably on the labor cost if you replace this part yourself. Work slowly and carefully so you do not damage the internal circuit board or pinch any wires on assembly. Use the correct size allen wrench so you do not strip the screws when removing the paddle lever. Hope this helps.

Has power when switch is on. no forward or reverse and electric seat height adjuster is not working.

john sounds like a cable problem from the tiller to the rear of your scooter. Power iis getting to the tiller but not back to the controller when you engage the throttle also the seat height is not getting power. I'm afraid you will have to get it checked by a qualified Tech to find out exactly what is wrong. If Medicare paid for the scooter then they will pay for most of the cost of repair. Hope this helps you

Error code

Typically this signals the free wheel brake lever is engaged. Turn your scooter off, then push the brake lever (the handle sticking out the top of the scooter back end) completely forward. Turn scooter back on.

We have an scooter an this scooter have an electronic's device's have self diagnostic an this scooter dont work an 7 times the green led is flashing an stop an repet again the cicle. we want know what...

If the batteries are charged and the brake is in the drive possition, it is possible that either there is a problem with the Wig Wag (forward/reverse paddle control) or the speed pot. Some ideas for you to look at.
