I Have a problem qith the Tamron 28-75Aspherical Lens XR Di for Canon mount. Just make a strange sound like to power on the iris motor when you insert the lens to the camera body. I just disarmed totally it, but the problmes seems to be with the electronics parts.

If you are interested I will sell the lens to you or you can sell your broken lens to me. For contact please write to partgio @ hotmail . com or to partgio @ yahoo. com or partgio @ gmail.com

Thanks in advance, all the best

Giovanni

User Manual

I checked the Tamron website menu of manuals and one is not listed. This is a pass-thru device, so other than placing it between your lens and camera body, there should be no additional settings. Your camera focus and exposure is thru the lens so the camera should adjust seemlessly. Please tell us what the problem is, what lenses and body you are using.

What are lenses that are compatible with the canon eos 5d mark ii

You can use Canon EF lenses. Be careful not to use EF-S lenses, as they cast a smaller image circle for cropped-sensor cameras, not big enough for full-frame cameras. There are other third-party manufacturers that make lenses with Canon EF mounts, such as Sigma and Tamron. Each manufacturer has their own designation for cropped-sensor lenses, so you'll have to check the specifications for each of them.

CANON rebel EOS TAMRON

It's probable that although it's designated Macro, the lens actually only gets in fairly close. I recommend you buy a closeup filter which is a simple lens you screw on the front of your lens. You can different strengths for getting in closer. Otherwise treat yourself to a set of extension tubes which do the same thing but more effectively.
I hope that helps

Will not autofocus

Hey shutterbug72,
According to the manufacturer the first thing you should try is cleaning the lens contacts with an eraser. If that doesn't work you could try removing the battery and reinserting it to reset the camera. It seems to me that if there was a compatibility issue going on you should have seen that from the start. As far as what lens you should buy both Tamron and Canon make very good lenses, but with Canon lenses you shouldn't ever have compatibility issues. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan

Tamron 28-300mm lens disassembly help

Both, But start at the rear to remove the electronics and the outer barrels. Remove any rubber grip to expose 'hidden screws'. I would mark everything or document with pictures during disassembly.
