Where can I get a replacement key for my golden companion 2 scooter? Mine is lost

YOU CAN GET REPLACEMENT KEYS AT GOLDEN TECHNOLOGIES.COM. THERE WILL BE A LIST OF PROVIDERS IN YOUR AREA. OR IN YOUR YELLOW PAGES GO TO DURABLE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT COMPANIES IN YOUR AREA, THEY CAN ORDER THEM FOR YOU, CALL THEM FIRST.

Norman you will need 2 U1 batteries and you can purchase them from any battery warehouse type store or you can try to find an Interstate battery dealer in your area or you can get them through your Provider where you got your scooter Costs around $200.00 for both Hope this helps

Julie I don't have a replacement key but if you contact Golden Tech @ 800-624-6374 or e-mail the parts dept @ [email protected] give them the serial number and they can get you a key. Now if you stuck for funds like alot of us you can purchase a on/off toggle switch for about $3.00 and replace the switch with the toggle switch. You have to take the tiller cover off to get to the old switch remove it by cutting the wires and attach the 2 wires to each pole on the toggle switch. Once you have the wires attached to the toggle switch turn it on and off to make sure it works and then insert it into the old switch hole tighten the nut to secure it to the cover and put the tiller cover back together. Hi. Some brands of scooters use the same key for the same models, one key fits all. See your local dealer about this.
If your machine has keys that only fit your machine, the best way is to replace the complete lock, and get spare keys cut.
If this is too expensive, remove the complete lock, and take it to a good locksmith, they will be able to cut new keys to fit your lock. You can then fit your original lock back in your machine.

Hi. Many scooters will display this fault code if the potentiometer is not exactlly centred when you turn on the key. The pot is not always faulty. Some scooters also have a smaller additional pot to controll the speed. If this pot is faulty it will cause the same fault code. Any other switches such as indoor/ outdoor switches. I have had a few machines fitted with curtis controllers where the fault is in the controller.
Check the wiring and plugs and connectors.

Companion-2 scooters. Remove seat by holding up on seat lever and picking up seat at the same time. Then remove bolt from seat post and remove seat post. Remove rear cover. Unplug and remove batteries.

i would suggest there is either a loose connection or the speed control has failed, the scooter will still run but at a slow speed, the part is fairly standard in all scooters. if i can be any furthur assitance please email me rick @ lxrixta.co.uk (remove the spaces)
