My OKI C5800LDN printer displayed the Service 121 error last night. After reading the previous solutions, and trying them with no success, I followed the instructions in the service manual, and removed the High Voltage Power Supply Board. There are four cables that plug into the board, the rest of the electrical connections are made between spring loaded fingers that make contact directly with the board when snapped into place. I used a rubber eraser to carefully polish each one of the fingers and their connections points on the circuit board. I re-installed the board, and the error is gone.
Hi and welcome to Fixya!
"Fatal Error" on your printer display or status monitor simply means a problem has occurred requiring action to clear. Fatal Error explanations are not usually found in the manual. You can check the list of error codes from the link below:
http://www.c8600.co.uk/index.asp?printername=C8600&menumode=0&content=errorcodes
RECOMMENDED STEPS:
First, try turning off your printer then turning it back on. If you're still getting the same error message, make sure the printer is plugged directly into the wall. Often, the issue is power-related.
If the problem persists, write down the message including the 3-digit error code number and send an email to "[email protected]" or call Oki Data Customer Support (1-800-654-3282) for assistance.
NOTE: If you see a series of letters and numbers scrolling across the display after the 3-digit error code, write it down and report them when calling or emailing Customer Support.

It is not exactly "fatal", it is related to LSI power supply or disturbance in it communication with high-voltage LSI chip, try this solution first:
1. switch off the printer and remove cord from power supply, remove network connection as well.
2. switch printer on (without power!) for 20sec, switch off
3. connect power supply, and switch printer on
4. connect network cable
If this operation did not clear the error, unfortunately you need to service the printer.
Hope this will help to solve your problem, please leavenote how did it go.

We had a similar problem with an Oki C7300. It was reading "Fatal Error 121" on the display.
We fixed it by simply unplugging the printer from a surge strip and plugging it into the wall directly. After that, the error went away and has not come back.
Fatal Error 5 is normally indicative of a Disk Failure. Because the OS can't read the portions of the drive.
